Maureen Vincent, a delectable advertising student and actress in her early twenties, was recently nominated as one of the Best supporting Actress(Yoruba) for the 2021 BON awards. She was the Line-Producer in the famous Africa magic Yoruba Series Borokini, Production Manager for the Youtube Series "SISTERS" and has also featured in other movies like Tamara, Wura, Alagogo ide and many more... Maureen shares her story with the VSS Team on her growing up and how she is able to balance Academics and her Acting career.

My name is Nwankpa-Vincent Maureen
What was Growing up like?
I grew up in an Igbo Family. My family was and is still close knitted. I grew up in Ojota, Lagos, i was an "omo get inside" so i had all my toys inside the House. My parents are disciplinarians so it made it hard for me not to be a book-worm.
What profession would you be into, if acting had not worked out.
An On Air Personality.
What attracted you to begin a career as an actress knowing fully that you are still a student .
The passion of creativity.
How have you managed to balance your school work, acting and your extra-curricular activities? What would you like to suggest to youths about becoming successful in life.
The best thing is to have a Task-Planner and ensure that work dates, school dates and dates for other activities donot clash. I will not lie to you that they won't clash, we are humans but i pray for grace through the frustration most times.
Being successful in life is necessary and it is majorly through hardwork, i believe that as youths, now that we have the energy we have to work as if the world's about to end so that we can rest and enjoy our latter years of success.
What does it feel like to be Nominated for BON awards at a very young age? You are with the biggest women in the industry.
It feels great and still surprising even as we speak but i thank God for the recognition, it means I'm doing something good.
Were you certain at the beginning that you could become successful, how does it feel to achieve success at a young age?
Well, i am sure that i "would" be successful.
I am still achieving the success as we speak😁
Would you say you have accomplished your goals in life?
No, far from it but I'm on the right path.
Describe your acting style.
I'm caught in between the Meisner And Stanislavsky's Acting Technique. I love to embody whatever character i play and it takes some time for me to shake it off my system.
What does Maureen Vincent do outside Acting?
I Line-Produce, manage production, coordinate productions, write scripts, do voice overs, create sound tracks, have fun and read books.
Your word of advice to fellow students all over the world?
Live, Love, Laugh, Work, Rest, Pray like the world is about to end but in all these, HAVE FUN!!!!
