"Excellence in academics work requires planning and prompt attitude to studies"

 SUG PRESIDENT-ELECT: Adeogun Moshood Feyisetan

Kindly introduce yourself sir
My name is Adeogun Moshood Feyisetan
I'm a 500level Law student.

First, we would like to congratulate you on your victory in this election.
1) Could you please share with us how you envision leading Student Union Government (SUG) in terms of representation, participation, and support?
By working with the executives, management ,entire students and hosting communities.

2) Would you be kind to share with us specific initiatives or projects you intend to implement during your tenure as SUG president?
Majorly to resolve transportation issues and get investors into our transport system particularly the Ago-Iwoye campus and Aiyetoro Campus amongst others.

3)How do you plan on collaborating with faculty, staff, and administration to achieve your goals for the SUG?
By consultation , consolidation and confrontation when necessary.

4)How will you ensure transparency and accountability within SUG?
By giving a detailed account of all that happens in the union when necessary. Also making an opinion box available in the union building.

5) How do you plan on addressing and resolving result issues that may arise from students?
Firstly, to encourage students to read and be more diligent with studies and to liaise with faculty HODs as to examination records and academic success of the students.

6)Access to information and communication is very key in every organization. How do you plan on promoting and improving communication and outreach to the student body?
The administration is presently working with all the faculty Presidents and PROs, Department Presidents and PROs, Class Reps and Assts, level Governors and through releasing of memos and adoption of other methods by the union PRO.

7)It appears that this would be your second time of trial. What does it feels like when you lost the first election?
It was overwhelming for me amidst all that was actually done and all efforts of supporters and students that believed in me to have lost the chance of serving the students that time. However the hope of contesting again was my consolation.

8) What motivated you to try the second time, why didn’t you give up having expended time, labor, and effort the first time?
I didn't give up because the impact that I desire to make remains in incubation.

9.    We all know having to get good grades in the faculty of law is not an easy task. How do you intend to balance your academics and SUG responsibilities in general?
Excellence in academic work requires planning and a prompt attitude to studies. I do not consider it a load to balance academics with the union activities which I would readily give it.
